The Windows are in

June 23rd

Deb and I went away for a couple of days and returned to find the windows are doors installed. The fireplace and cut outs for the TV are also in place. Looking good!!!

Framing Continues

Saturday - June 12

All 3 gables are finished, and plywood had been added over the tongue and groove ceiling. Notice the metal straps that go across the peak of the gables. Rough electrical work is done and the facade for the fireplace is complete.

Tongue & Groove

The tongue & groove ceiling is going in.

Notice the jig they used to cut the mortise in the ridge beam.

Ridge Beam and Rafters

The rafters are going in.

Ridge Beams are Up

Friday June 4
The framing continues. The three ridge beams are in place. They wrapped the beams in black plastic, apparently to prevent them from drying out or warping. Doors and windows arrived and are being stored in the garage. They will be installed next week.
